Lesser known hook point not picked up by HijackThis

Yesterday I blogged about a fake codec pushing malware and creating interesting hook points to launch:

Out of curiosity I checked HijackThis and noticed that a regular scan does not pick up that load point. Could that be why (because it’s not as popular) some malware authors are using the Shceduled Task to launch their payload?
