Anatomy of a PayPal scam »

Back from Ottawa

October 6th, 2008

We’re all back home after last week’s conference.

We were the Gold sponsor, and had a nice booth set up beside other companies. It was a good occasion to present some of our latest products and our technology.
There is quite a bit of competition but it felt like there was a place for everyone and the atmosphere was generally friendly.

Our company is young compared to other guys that have been veterans in this industry, but we are commited to be the best we can be and achieve high standards. Being there also gave us more credibility in an industry where new entrants are not always welcome. In this era of rogue profileration, one has to prove they are serious in what they do and that their business ethics are responsible.
Anyway, we got a lot of positive feedback and met many people interested in our technology or looking for a partnership. As one of the presenters rightly observed, the more security vendors there are, the more difficult it is more malware authors to circumvent detection. And even when one of the top player gets disabled, other products will be there to protect the end user.
